Change the video card if you don't see anything on the screen

It should be either an issue with the monitor or a software issue. Please disconnect the monitor cable from the system and check if ‘No signal’ popup is coming up. Also, please let me know if you can see Dell logo when you try starting up the computer.

How could it be a monitor issue if he already changed the monitor with a newer or older one? if the fist and second monitor don't work then how would a third one work?

Windows Recovery Environment Tools (WINRETOOLS) are tools used restore the image of Win 8 (8.1) that's stored on the drive in the PBR partition. Do NOT store anything on winretools partition or on the PBR partition.

You may just end up having to reformat the hard drive and doing a clean Win 8 install, since you have the disk from Dell. Read this for a good guide to reinstalling Windows on Dell PCs.

I presume you removed the RAM module that didn't work. So how much working RAM is actually available in the system and is it in the correct slot? Is that enough RAM to support whatever version of Windows you want to install? Power off, unplug and press/hold power button for ~15 sec.

Hello again, I found out how to get Speedfan to take over the fans. You have to disable smartguard in the advanced settings and choose Software control.

I currently have a Dell x51 desktop PC, [Admin NOTE: Service tag removed per TOU policy] and [Admin NOTE: Express service code removed per TOU policy]. I am trying to boot up the PC, however I just get 3 beep intervals every time I try to turn the PC on.

I bought my alpha today and I chose to start it in desktop mode for the first time. Now I want to start it in console mode but I'm not sure how. Please help!

Yes, the Asus HD 7750 should work, but I would not recommend using the Asus video card, last year I had the same 7750 model fail after nine months and Asus would not honour the card's three year warranty. Bev.

FYI - I do NOT recommend uninstalling the Dell Backup and Recovery Manager- at least not on Windows 8!

I was attempting to do a BIOS Update from A04 to A06 on my Inspiron One 2020. Message said to reboot system, so I did that and then I got a blank screen... No Dell Logo, nothing. I know the system is on, because I can hear it running but I get nothing.
